Ben began his career in education in 1992 at Newcomb College Nursery School in New Orleans. Over ten years of experience as an early educator gives him an especially keen knowledge of the temperament and capabilities of young children and a natural affinity with them, their teachers, and the classroom.
Ben's current work connects the development of media literacy with social competence in young children. He has developed a pre-school curriculum connecting children's skill in reading media messages to their level of social skills. Ben received his MA in Educaitonal Media/Medi Literacy from Appalachian State University.
